Boy Scout Troop 236 serves Harrison City, Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities. It is our goal to provide your son with the best experience possible. Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation. At each meeting, we try to balance the time with skills training, leadership building, and structured games. A variety of merit badges are offered at each meeting. Since Boy Scouts is a boy – led troop, our junior leadership does much of the planning for the above activities. Our belief is that information is best received over time and that Scouting is a lifelong endeavor. A variety of trips are offered, such as weekend camping trips, ski trips, a week of summer camp, a week of backpacking on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, and much more. If this sounds like an opportunity your son would enjoy, feel free to visit us at a troop meeting. We have meetings most Thursday nights from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in the Social Hall at St. Barbara’s Roman Catholic Church located in Harrison City, PA.
